Easily seen from the Route 250 Bypass / Veterans Memorial Highway, this was the first such memorial in the country.  Created in 1966, the memorial is located in the eastern section of McIntire Park next to the golf course.

The following veterans organizations serve the Charlottesville - Albemarle area:

   American Legion Post 74
